YMCA Wainui Camp. Year 7/8

On 14th-18th of October we Year 7 and 8's of Ashley School went to the YMCA Wainui Camp which is across from Akaroa.  The day that we got there we started with a Wide Game which was Colours, this is where there were 3 teams with colours of Red, Orange & Green.  The green team had to chase the orange team and if they caught them they would take them back to there home spot where they would get a green strip on there cheek, after they had there strip they would be set free but on the green team. Then the orange team chases the red team and if caught a red person the would do the same as what the green team did to the orange.  Last of all the red team chases the green team and would do the same as the previous teams.

After dinner that night we had the option to play spotlight so most of us did, the people who didn't want to just stayed inside.  Around 9:30pm we came in for some supper then we were off to bed for the night, not many of us went straight to sleep.

In the morning we had to be up for breakfast by 8:00am, it was an exciting morning as we were going for our first activity.

The activities that we got to do where, Kayak Fun; Coasteering; Archery; Tyrolean Traverse; Raft Building, on Wednesday Morning when went to Akaroa and got the chance to have a amazing experience on The Black Cat Cruise Ship all the amazing sights and the seeing the Dolphins, Penguins and Seals.
