Mathematics - Tree House Fun!

Miss Mutch, was inspired by a fabulous book that Jack Marshall-Lee has called mmmm, can't remember the name if it so will add it later... - it had a plan to make a Tree House and as we are doing measurement this term - I thought, hey it's perfect, lets do it!!!

One problem... I am not really a DIY person - Yeah, for Paul Truscott, Paul is a parent at school (not a Rm1 parent though) who is also an awesome builder!!  He is kindly giving us his time and many resources to work with the children in Room 1 to build the Tree House as part of their Measurement unit this term.

The children wrote letters to Mitre 10 Mega and Paul went to speak to them and they have kindly donated resources too.

We are having so much fun, yes fun and it is looking awesome!!

Paul's plans are somewhat more elaborate than our first plan and we may end up with a multi story tree house but that is all part of the fun of the journey...

By the way Paul is AWESOME!!!
